Hi!

I am an Emmy-nominated, WGA Award-winning, Peabody Award-winning comedian, writer, cartoonist, and best-selling author.

Until recently, I was a writer/performer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where I famously couldn’t dunk a basketball. I am currently a cartoonist at The New Yorker, a performer with the Improvised Shakespeare Company, and a touring comic. On the road, I’ve played sold-out shows everywhere from iconic comedy venues like The Bell House to enormous performing arts centers like The Kennedy Center. If you’d like to see where I’ll be next, click HERE.

My award-winning short film, Accountabilibuddies, was an official selection at the Just For Laughs Film Festival in Vancouver, and I’ve had two pilots premiere at the New York Television Festival.

I developed my comedy chops in Chicago, where I performed with The Second City, the Chicago Just For Laughs Festival, iO, The Annoyance, and approximately one thousand bars.

On television, I have appeared on Comedy Central, CBS, Pop TV, and several national commercials. Before The Late Show, I was a staff writer for The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. I’ve also written humor for The New Yorker, The Onion Labs, and McSweeney’s.

Please keep scrolling, and thanks for being here. The 2018 Ron Perlman movie, Asher, totally tanked my search results, so arriving at this page is a genuine achievement.

Cartoons

My cartoons regularly appear in The New Yorker, Alta Journal, and Airmail. In 2026, I became the first-ever cartoonist-in-residence for Playboy. You can see all of my work on Instagram, but here’s a taste:

I’ve also collected my work into two cartoon compilations through Andrews McMeel. Each book includes some fan favorites, but more than half of the toons are brand-new, never-before-published work. Both are available now wherever books are sold (and available signed in my shop).
